Supply Chain Issue
I can’t think of a single industry that hasn’t been affected by the international supply chain issue. From pepperoni, to baby formula, to microchips, everyone is feeling the squeeze. These things that used to have a seemingly abundant supply have nearly disappeared from the market all together.
Some people are more affected by the supply chain than others, but I’m sure we can all think of at least one thing you just can’t get anymore. Now imagine there being many things you need to use every day that you just can’t get anymore. That’s our daily reality in the performance automotive industry. Whether it’s an entire car or an aftermarket cold air intake, there are many pieces to complete the puzzle and if you can’t get one of those pieces then what do you do to finish the puzzle?
It becomes a waiting game and a true test of patience. In this go-fast industry we’re in, this is really asking a lot! I kid you not, we have things still on order from 8+ months ago, like EMP pumps are a perfect example. The manufacturer can hardly get their microchips for the onboard controller, therefore we only get sent a pump every once in a while whenever they can. That’s certainly not a steady enough supply to rely on for us to fulfill orders. We use these pumps on all of our trunk tanks, so the next thing we can do besides wait is find a new source or pump all together, which we’ve had to do.
“If necessity is the mother of invention, then resourcefulness is the father.” Beulah Louise Henry
Resourcefulness has been the key to our survival as a small auto shop for so many years. All shop owners & managers know time is money. Every hour a car sits on a rack is costing everyone money, so what do you do when you can’t get a part you need? You wait until you can, or you figure something else out. Both of which take time, unfortunately. As a car builder and manufacturer, we are hyper aware of this dilemma. We have a somewhat unique perspective into both sides of the business. In other words, we feel your pain when we can’t get our products to you. Whether you’re the end user or the mechanic with a customer breathing down your neck about when they'll be able to drive their car again. We feel it. We go to great lengths to make people happy, but as much as we wish it weren't the case - there are powers beyond our control that dictate our success at this.
We want you to know that we are taking this unprecedented opportunity to continue to develop new products for your builds. We recently launched our Synergy LSx Supercharger Intercooler Lid for your LSA and LS9 motors. We will also be brining to you our new Synergy Modular Stacked Billet Catch Can System.
We have made it our mission to never settle for excuses that keep us from moving forward and persevering through these obstacles. Let this be a gentle reminder to those who are fortunate enough to forget that the supply chain is a worldwide problem right now - you’re just going to have to practice being patient. There is nothing else we can do that we aren’t already doing to make things go faster. We know you want to drive your car again, we also want this for you! We want nothing more than to fulfill your orders on the same day or get your car back to you within hours or days. So please don’t be a Karen, we’re all doing our best for you.
