The C&R 2012-2015 Camaro ZL1 supercharger heat exchanger mounts in the stock location using factory hoses and clamps.
Heat exchangers are a critical component to any boosted application. When you compress air (via a turbo or supercharger) it heats up. When you cool the intake air it becomes more dense and you essentially amplify the effectiveness of your blower. Additionally, if IATs run too high your ECM/ECU will actually pull engine timing to compensate for the hotter forced air and this directly affects power.
C&R's design is a perfect fit and replacement for the stock LSA heat exchanger. Included in this kit is the 42mm PWR purpose-built core. You simply reuse all of your stock factory hoses, clamps and mounting hardware. This is a must have part for increased boost and/or in warmer climates.
Beyond the primary heat exchanger you should consider upgrading your LSA supercharger intercooler bricks as well which act as the other side of the heat exchanger system. Together, the heat exchanger and brick setup is the best way to get heat out of a boosted system.
Additionally, this kit includes a Brown & Miller hose and bleeder allowing you to service the cooling system without removing the front end.
